Networking Luncheon Event on September 22, 2010

La Ventana invites you to attend our Networking Luncheon Event on September 22, 2010. This is an opportunity to meet and greet colleagues in the recovery field and learn about additional community resources. We are very excited to announce we will have guest speaker Doris Smeltzer, eating disorder treatment advocate and author of "Andrea's Voice; Silenced by Bulimia," to speak at this event, followed by some words from our very own Clinical Director, Dr. Christine Pappas.

Lunch will be provided and the event is free of charge.

The event is open to Therapists, Marketing Professionals and colleagues alike.

Doris Smeltzer Doris Smeltzer left her teaching position when her 19-year-old daughter Andrea died after 13 months of bulimic behaviors. She has since devoted her life to eating disorder prevention through the Andrea's Voice Foundation non-profit she co-founded with her husband. Doris holds a master's degree in counseling psychology, the author of Andrea's Voice: Silenced by Bulimia, Gurze Books' "Advice for Parents" blog and co-author of chapter 21 in Elsevier's upcoming book, Treatment of Eating Disorders. Doris is developing an educational curriculum for the Ed field based on her Internet radio show.
